In 1996 we decided to turn our kitchen and dining area into a larger kitchen
and to put an addition on the house with a new dining room and 4-season porch.

These are the Before and After pictures. We put the addition on posts so we
didn't block the family room window below.
   

We took a weeks vacation to get the addition framed and the only days we had
help were on day 8 when the trusses wnet up and the roof boards went on,
and on day 9 when the windows went in.
   

Where there used to be a window in the living room, there is now
the entry into the new dining room.
   

We added 4-1/2 feet to the wall between the living room and kitchen
so that we could move the kitchen cabinets back. It used to be that
when you opened the refrigerator, the door would hit a drawer handle.
   

The existing cabinets and recycling center got moved back 4-1/2 feet and
we added a new lazy susan corner cabinet, a pantry, plus additional
upper and lower cabinets.
